Plasterboard to plasterboard?

by Frenchman69 » Fri Aug 09, 2013 6:45 am

Hi There

Am trying to tidy up an area under daughters stairs, which has been done previously with plasterboard.

As there are screwholes, small holes, marks etc, I thought the easiest way for a novice would be to stick a thin gauge plasterboard.

A. How does this sound to you guys.
B. should I use silicone, dot and dab, or screws.

buy a small bag of drywall adhesive, fill in all the holes and sand down once dried, and paint, its easier and cheaper

Can I use some finish that I have to do what you suggest, and would that be emulsion?

the dry wall adhesive sets in about 1.5 hrs and its better than finish plaster for filling holes
