Polymeric/Joint sand

Post by bones » Tue Apr 21, 2009 7:05 pm

Where abouts can i get this and how much is it?

Laying a set of decorative flags around the perimeter of my lawn onto a sharp sand base and have been advised to use this polymeric sand between the flags...

Any help greatfully received....

bones,
This used to be available from B&Q, don't know whether they still stock it.
Tried it once, it stains the paving slabs, smells horrible and is not very effective at filling the gaps.
If you do use it make sure it is fresh and that the bag has not been puctured in any way.
end

bones,
You could point the joints using a fairly dry cement/sharp sand mix, closer jointing is maintenance free but expect to relay some of the slabs as rain washes the sharps away.
