    Polyurethane disaster

    Postby gracewatson » Wed Jun 27, 2012 2:50 pm

Decorating kitchen cabinets, sanded primed (Zinsser-bin), sanded, primed, 1st and 2nd coats highgloss (red), then sprayed with poly as directed (3 light coats 2 mins apart). 24 hours later thankfully the shrinkage went away but now rather than my lovely mirror red its a dusty matt feel/look. Thought this would just need buffing but alas no, what am I doing wrong. I thought the poly would be better for the high temp in the kitchen or should I just have left without the poly coat, can't find any info. onlineso guys please come forward with your suggestions please!
