Power shower pumps

by info@truloc.co.uk » Fri Sep 12, 2008 9:46 am

Just over 4 years ago, I had a power shower fitted. The pump is a Mira PPT3 and has recently started to leak. The shower is used every day. I contacted MIRA technical help and was told that the only solution was a new pump. I questioned the reliability of a pump less than 5 years old and was told that 4 - 5 years was what I should expect. I have to replace the pump but naturally MIRA is not on the list. Can anyone reccomend a good qulity pump?

I agree with Nitro. Mira products have a good reputation within the trade. Maybe you had a dud, or possibly if your water is very hard, the limescale has built up in the seals and caused them to fail.

If you want a different brand try Stuart Turner or Salamander. Both specialist pump manufacturers.
