Preparing concrete base prior to tiling
I have just laid a 2.3m sq concrete base as level as possible. It is at least 150mm thick and reinforced. I am going to lay ceramic tiles before a hot tub is positioned on it (average weight 1tonne when full). Would a SLC be a good idea to prevent the tiles cracking under the load? If so are there certain types. This project is in Cyprus with a temperature range between 0 C and 40+C in case this is another thing for consideration.
self level compound
yes it would be ideal to use slc first ,I tend to use the latex compound it sets better.
