    KARENSKELLY,
If the loo has worked in the past then the most likely cause is that debris has blocked the fill valve nozzle. It needs taking apart.

I have a very similar problem.
The cistern refills, but incredibly slowly.
I have opened it up, to try and see what is going on, the valve (i think) is spraying water out in a fine mist rather than filling the cistern quickly.
Can i fix this, or do i need to buy a new valve?
    Really confused.

    Colonel Moran,
You also need to take the valve apart and remove any debris in the nozzle.
