Quadrant shower tray installation

Post by carruthers » Sat Nov 01, 2008 2:46 pm

Does anyone have the answer to the finishing of the 'skirting' finish to a quadrant stone cast shower tray that has to be raised to accommodate the waste. The floor is concrete. I can't seem to find anything in the DIY sheds, that is made for the job.
Any suggestions? Please

hi

I work in a plumbers merchants. All you need is a flexible plinth. That's what it's called. Just have to go to any plumbers merchants. Might need ordered in depending on size.

Hi carruthers

Go to one of those ‘guttering’ or ‘plastic cladding’ outlets, they usually have a wide choice of strips that will suit.

check with the supplier of your tray - some manufacturers will make them, it might be possible that you can buy one for your particular model.

Go with Skids option of UPVC soffit board which is only a few quid. The plastic trims are identical in colour and texture to shower trays.
