Radiator do's & dont's.......

by 163013 » Fri Nov 05, 2010 10:28 am

Hello people..,
Just wondering, are there any specific regs regarding fitting radiators into loft conversions? eg.limits to size/quantity etc.
Been asked to fit one for a friend, but not even sure if they're allowed?
Thanks in advance...
Fred. :)

hi 163013,
Was wondering if you got a reply, my brother has a loft conversion and a small radiator in the bathroom, installed by plumbers! It has never worked even with extensive air bleeding efforts.
The header tank for the whole heating system sits on the top of the main water tank (which means it's about 1 to 1.5ft above the top of said radiator) and I was wondering if you had any replies about this not creating enough height differential (hydrostatic head) and therfore not pushing out the air when bleeding???
Anyone out there got an idea about this????
