I have a worcester/bosch 240 combi boiler, hot tap water is intermittently hot ! but the radiators are there normal hot tempeature, had heat exchanger taken out and flushed, still no better, BG are hell bent on trying to flog me a new boiler even though its only 10 years old, Have had the system powerflushed by BG and a magnaclean fitted but still no improvement, has anyone got any suggestions on what the problem might be and a remedy

intermittent water problems normally point to the diverter valve, maybe sticking or the diaphragm has become stretched or split, a replacement diaphragm should only cost a couple of quid.

When you run the hot tap, does the spindle come out of the top of the diverter and operate the microswitch ? every time

I had same problem!
Replaced diaphragm to solve.
However, left with occasional glitch.(see my post)
I'am considering stripping valve to clean/repair and if not possible I'll get new one.
