raising fence height

i have concrete posts and closed board fencing, i want to raise the height by around 2 feet, i was thinking semi open panels, kind of a trellis effect border. can you recommend the most attractive/affordable way of doing this, what fixings i would need to secure to existing concrete posts, there is about 2-3" in height of concrete post to secure to.
