Ravenheat RSF84ET

by samba71 » Sat Mar 31, 2007 9:11 pm

Hi,

Apologies for the lack of technical detail here. My Ravenheat combi 84ET failed to supply heat via central heating yesterday. I switched the boiler off at the mains then switched it back on after a couple of minutes and it appeared to be working ok - supply available through radiators. However, it cut off after only a few minutes - no operational noises (fans, burners etc). I double checked the fault symptoms by reseting it again and the same fault conditions apply. Would anyone be able to give me any pointers as to possible causes for this.

Cheers

Right it sound to me like a lack of water in the system.

If you have a look at your boiler there should be a dial on it.

If this dial is reading zero, then you just need to fill it with some more water using the filling loop.

A filling loop looks like a flexible hose, about 15cm long and has a tap on both ends and should be just below the boiler.

Just turn off the boiler, open both ends of the filling loop and fill the system up to about 1 bar on the dial.

Close both taps

Then turn the boiler back on.
