Removal of wash hand basin in en-suite

by P. Connell » Wed Oct 27, 2010 1:14 pm

Are there any building regulations with regard to having a wash basin in an en-suite. We are moving and the new en-suite is "compact". I will be changing the door to open outwards and not inwards, but if I remove the wash basin I will get a lot more space for the new shower. Do I have to adhere to any regulations with regard to not having a wash basin.

Many thanks

The BR's state that a WHB is required where a W.C. is located, even in private use.

Why not go for a smaller WHB, or a corner basin?

Are the works subject to BR's?
