Removing Shower Bar but Have Stuck Screw

by Duff » Mon Aug 15, 2016 9:41 pm

Hi
Hope someone can help, I need to remove a shower bar to replace the shower head holder. How we having never unscrewed the bar since installation, approx 5 years ago, the screw appears to be stuck/rusted. I have tried wd40 tonight, given it some knocks with a hammer but still not shifting, using a handheld screw driver.....any more ideas to try?
Thanks

Hi Duff, Is there enough head to get a pair of vice grips on?
Is the screw in a plastic plug ? A wee bit of heat on the screw head will soften the plug.

Hope this helps.
