Repairing Plaster around the Front Door Catch?

Post by fishnet » Mon Apr 14, 2014 2:13 pm

I have chipped out cracked plaster around the front door catch several times, but the problem keeps recurring. Is there a special product or process which can solve this problem, Please advise

you can either replaster the area, by painting pva on the area first, then replastering, or you can buy a plastic trim in either woodgrain colour or white and silicone it in position

thanks WB - been doing some research - can you confirm :-
* Diall decorators PVA is OK (ex B&Q)
* Dilute 5 to 1
* Replaster before PVA is dry
Thanks Fishnet
