Replace Ceiling Rose Light

by andy.allen » Wed Oct 03, 2007 9:03 am

Fine with the wiring. my problem is that the weight bearing bracket on the light (bought from B&Q), has two holes. I was going to just screw this onto the wiring rose and up and into the existing structure.

The hole spacing on the weight bracket however is not the same as the standard on the wiring rose. am I missing something here or should they not both be the same spacing?

HI andy.allen,

If I understand what you trying to explain correctly, the ceiling rose does not need to be there, the bracket screws in to the ceiling, they should be a connecting block to terminate cable wires and the light fitting should in some way connect to the bracket normally by turning!
I hope I have read your question right and this info has been of help.
