replacement windows

by palpal » Tue Apr 03, 2007 4:45 pm

I am having my old critall windows removed and replaced with uPVC.
The windows are small about 1 metre wide and it appears that their are lintels on the 1st floor, and the ground floor windows have a soldier course of bricks above the windows, these metre wide uPVC windows when fitted
will have one side opening window and one fanlight opening.
My question, is it ok to go ahead,
p/s a double glazing company are fitting these windows.
Many Thanks

Not quite sure what you are saying here. If there are no lintels on the ground floor then do not fit the windows until lintels are inserted. If there are lintels as long as the new windows are no wider than the old ones then its ok.
