replacing a rusted lintel

Brick veneer. one story home and the steel lintels over two windows (on the gable side) are rusted causing the veneer to crack. Is replacing these lintels a DYI job?l Need instructions if available.

its easy to get it badly wrong on sizing and propping if you are unsure best to pay to get the work done
