Replacing GU5.3.3 Downlights with Pendant Lights?

by phenian » Sun Nov 22, 2015 6:45 pm

From an electrical point of view, can I just remove the transformer on my gu5.3.3 downlights and replace it with a 3 core lighting cable and connect a bayonet fitting? I know I will have to remove the can and will have issues with the size of the hole etc but I can cope with that if this is as simple to revert to a pendant as it seems to be
Thanks in advance
