replacing taps

by Jaynevicky » Mon Sep 22, 2008 8:41 pm

We have recently been getting quotes for replacing the taps in our bathroom. The third plumber who turned up to quote this evening, said that it couldnt be done as he wouldnt be able to get at them as they in an ackward position. The tap end of the bath is tucked in a small recess. This wasnt even commented on by the other 2 plumbers! This may sound "blonde" but isnt there some kind on "bendy" tool that could do it??

it is indeed VERY difficult to change bath taps without the proper access. It is normal to fit the taps to a bath before then putting the bath in place (in a new installation for example)

Without seeing the site it is hard to advise.... I wouldnt want to be messing around with mine though.
