Ride on lawnmower

I have an ALCO600 ride on mower, with a 6HP Tecumseh engine. Apparently the engine company has gone bust. My recoil starter assembly has packed up, chord does not rewind into housing,assume spring has gone. Can anyone advise me on how to repair or where I can find an exploded diagram. Assume they are basically all the same.
