samsung 7000 series tv

Only had this television for 1 week. Everything is very good except some outside broadcasts during news progs and some studio shows, the faces are pasty looking , smooth in appearance with no fine detail. The background has sharp detail. I've noticed that in one of the sub menu's the contrast is set at 100.which is maximum. Thought i would seek some advice before venturing further. Thanks for any advice. Tooly.
