Sandy Cement Fix Needed

I have a new cement patio and it is always sandy in certain areas after we did an acid wash for a non slippery surface. Is there any cure to stop the daily sweeping of sand off the new patio? Will this ever stop or am I stuck with this characteristic from a poorly performed acid wash?
