    Sealant Colur

    Postby bochloe » Tue May 06, 2008 9:36 am

I need to seal around the worktop in my bathroom. My dilema is that my worktop is dark grey and my tiles are white/very light grey. From an appearance point of view should I use a dark grey sealent or a white sealant? All opinions/experience on this matter woud be greatfully received.

    Many thanks
    Sue :?

    B,

IN MY VIEW, IF WORKTOP IS AGAINST TILES THEN, USE DARK.

IF TILES OVERLAP WORKTOP THEN, USE WHITE.

YOU COULD GO FOR THE CLEAR SILICONE OPTION.

Concur with Alda except that the clear option only works if the tiler has left a very clean edge all the way round. He may not have done relying on the sealant to over up any small cutting imperfections.

At the end of the day it's got to be your personal preference. Please don't do it in dark 'cos someone here advised it, decide you don't like it and then complain. LoL.

    Good luck.

    Cheers
