Sealing Connection in Loft Cold Water Tank

Hi I'm going to put a new outlet in cold water tank in the loft the plastic connection I have doesn't come with any seals should it have a rubber seal on inside and plastic on the outside thanks

plastic or rubber,I prefer plastic,when I have had neither I make one using ptfe tape
