Self Leveling Concrete Problem

by dj.trev » Fri Nov 30, 2007 10:38 pm

Hi

I Have just laid 10mm of self leveling compound over an uneven concrete floor. The compund has gone down great and dried really well but I have noticed when the heating is not on Damp / condensation patches around the edges of the floor. The exsisting floor has had a plastic membrain was laided under the floor as it was about the floor level at the edges.

My Question is this condensation likely to be Damp of just the water from the mix evapourating out of the floor still this floor has been laid down a week now all be it the weather not been the best or warmest

hi dj.trev,
10mm seems quite a lot of self leveling compound, i'd guess if dp membrane in place that it's still drying out as you have mentioned.
