Sensitive water temperature

by ShowerIssue » Thu Jan 27, 2011 10:00 pm

In my shower when you slowly turn the cold tap on it goes from hardly any water pressure to suddenly alot which means there is a very very small range to get it right.

I thought the cold water tap was broken so changed the whole mixer tap but still have the same problem. Any ideas what it could be?

You haven't given much detail to work on, but it may be the supplies are unbalanced and the cold is connected directly to the mains but the hot is from a low pressure cylinder.

Unfortunately, it is the downfall of bath shower mixer taps.
