Shall I go with Heat Genius or Hive Smart Heating - Any Advice?

by cp87 » Tue Jul 28, 2015 11:12 am

Hi everyone,

A little introduction: My name is Charles, and I'm 26. I've always kept a close eye on the whole technology scene (don't ask me how many times I've been to the gadget show live )

Anyway, I've been looking at smart heating for my home, and I've saved up quite a lot of money for this investment...Now I just want to know which smart heating system to go with. They do require a lot of start-up capital, however, they make your money back in the long term. The two systems I have been looking at are the Heat Genius heating system, and Hive!

Thankfully, to make my job easier, Kelly Gordon has reviewed so many smart heating systems. I found a great, detailed review of both systems. From reading both reviews and doing my own personal research, it seems that the Heat Genius has an edge over Hive. One of the reasons for this is because of it's smart Zoned heating. It basically learns your heating patterns. The great thing about both (and probably the main money saving element) is that you can choose to only heat the rooms you want, as opposed to heating the whole house.

It does mention that the Heat Genius system has ugly hardware, however I'm just looking for a system that does what It's supposed to do.

What's YOUR take on this?

Cheers
