Shared garden wall

by Sparky75 » Thu Jul 31, 2008 3:04 pm

Hi there,

Our next door neighbour has built a side return on his kitchen and knocked down part of our shared garden wall to do it. It has been rendered in a different texture and the paint colour doesn't match - they say they've restored it to the required extent but I'm not sure if that's right.

Don't they have to repaint and rerender the entire wall rather than just the part they demolished?

Thanks!

Hi,
call your local building controls at the council office, they will advise you better than I can as some areas are different!

It's nothing to do with Building Control, it's purely a civil matter. You need to contact either a solicitor or possibly a party wall surveyor.
