    Shower cable size

    Postby chrissy » Mon Jul 23, 2007 3:18 pm

I have had a new shower fitted and it state in the installation booklet the fuse should be a 38Amp fuse, it is a 8.5 shower so what is the recommended cable size for this fuse. The length from the MCB box to the shower is 35 feet, it is in conduit and I have a 6mm cable at the moment. Some people say this cable is ok others say it should be 10mm. I have calculated the voltage drop and that is coming out at 0.6% and I have been told it can be no greater thatn 5%. Can you advise me please?????
