Slotted waste

Post by Danc » Tue May 27, 2008 10:57 pm

This is probably an obvious and simple question but I am baffled. I have a new sink which has a 'slotted' waste. The slots are not covered and below the plug and above the trap connection. Surely these willl leak when connected or am I missing something obvious,

All help greatly received.....thanks .

If it's a ceramic basin the slots sit inside the the basin the waste grate needs to be sealed top and bottom - as the overflow is built into the basin.

This waste is no good if fitting to a plastic basin.
