Slow running hot water.....

Post by CoolSandy » Sun Jun 17, 2007 1:55 pm

My boiler is a Vokera Compact 24 Combi and it is about 3 and a half years old. The problem I have is that it takes about an hour to fill our bath 3/4 full. The water is really slow thus causing the boiler to be on for longer. It is the same on all Hot taps. The cold water runs fine. Any suggestions?

Regards

Might be a couple of reasons. You could check the flow rate at the bath tap with a measuring jug? You should get about 9 litres per minute with a 24kw boiler. If you have the boiler manuals etc. they will confirm this. You might have a scale problem in the domestic hot water heat exchanger. If the flow rate has gradually got worse over time this could well be the problem. Would be worth checking the warranty on this boiler though as you might be covered for scale problems by the manufacturer.
