    Smell of Rotten Eggs

Postby htg engineer » Sat Mar 20, 2010 7:43 pm

Over the last couple of months, there has been the odd time that's there's a rotten egg smell in the porch (inside, front of house) I have been trying to work out when this happens and it seems to be after any heavy rain.

Has anyone come across this before ?

Just thought I would ask, before I start lifting the floor, as the front and one side of the entrance is UPVC i'm beginning to wonder if there's a leak and the floorboards are rotten, or there's water lying under the floor.

    Hi

Is your car fitted with a catalytic converter, if the car is backed up near the porch when the engine is started cats really do smell like rotten eggs.

    Bye

sometimes when the catalytic converter do not fit in, it causes this kind of problem. well my advise is to try to change your catalytic converter to avoid that kind of smell. i have learned this from my auto repair mechanic.
