So Someone has fitted my french doors backwards

Postby Andy Toop » Tue Oct 30, 2007 11:16 pm

As i say just moved into a house with a conservatory and the french doors open into the living room (swing not slide)

So my question is can i remove the facsai boards that are on the internal walls, unscrew the whole frame spin it 180 degrees rescrew it, fart about with re-plastering and finishing then hey presto doors that work?

    Please help

Sounds like it would work. Only problem would be you would most likely have to de-glaze the doors as they would weigh a ton otherwise.

you will need to make sure of the seals and most important the drain holes would feed water into the house so these need to be blocked and new drain holes made so water runs outside
