Soffit Lighting

Whilst looking for decking lights on a website earlier I found some Soffit lights, Ive not seen many of these around and wanted to know if anyone had used them.

I think these would look superb under the front bay window of our house but not sure how they should be installed.

Should I wire these direct into a plug socket or into a fused switch?
