Solar Insets for Polycarbonate Conservatory Roof

My conservatory roof blinds for a (lean to) conservatory need replacing after about 12 years and we are not keen to have similar again. I have been looking at the possibility of solar inserts into my poly roof which seem a reasonable alternative.I would like some feedback on these please if anybody has used them.There a few firms who supply DIY kits and the prices seem to vary with competitive discounts,but still pretty expensive. Ebay even sell them as well at a fraction of the cost,your comments would be very welcome.
