Solid or engineered oak floor
Hi need some advice. Am looking to lay either a solid oak or engineered oak wood floor in my living room. The existing concrete floor is very poor poss no membrane. I cant put a new concrete floor down as its around 60% solid rock 3" below the surface. Was thinking of laying Oldroyd Xs membrane and then laying one of the options above on top of it. Note about the cottage. Its north facing with very cold and damp air during the winter. My question which option would be best to lay?
