Trustmark and the NHIC
sound proofing
hi can anyone advise me on stopping the noise from my bathroom that is above my livingroom when any one uses the loo you can hear every little noise it is a modern house and does not have floorboards
I have solved this problem by completely filling the space between the joists with fibre glass and creating a second ceiling fixed to the walls.
This worked. How the fibre glass by itself contributed I don't know. I appreciate this solution will cost, but whoever designed your setup was mad. Can you not move the toilet to somewhere else?
