Soundproofing.

Post by ps09844 » Sun Aug 24, 2008 10:09 pm

Please advise me;

I am soundproofing my living room myself, noisey neighbour problem.

I have build the stud wall, 2" away from the adjoining wall.

I have purchased accoustic mineral wool. The problem I have is; do I put the wool between the 2" gap i have created, between the main wall and the stud wall, or do I just put it between the batons of the stud wall I have created.

What will give a better effect. I have enough wool to fit inbetween the gap and inbetween the studs.

Thanks.

I await your replies as I am ready for this next phase of my DIY project.

Thanks Welsh Brickie,

I guess it makes more sense doing it that way.

p.s. I notice that I put it on the wrong forum subject. Put one on the right one aswell, but thanks anyway for your assistance.
