spur electrical

I am wiring a gas hobs igniter, The neares electrical socket is the one with the cooker switch plus socket, will it be suitable to fix a spur to. please help

A fused spur may be possible if the cooker outlet is not already used. The rules in a kitchen are complex and as a result one needs Part P and I would advise you ask the advise of the person signing the completion certificate as not seeing the kitchen it would be easy to give incorrect advice and then you having problems with issue of completion certificate.
