My stairs and landing have no spindles in the ballustrades. The underside of the handrail has been filled in, I have a closed stringer on the stairs. I need to install spindles or equivalent as it’s clearly not safe as it is. I had a quote of £850 for spindles to be fitted but this is too much for me to spend so I thought maybe I could do it myself, although I have very basic DIY skills.
I’d be grateful if you recommend the easiest & cheapest way for me to go about getting this sorted? I’m under pressure to get this done but don’t have £850 to spend!
If I did it myself what is the easiest method?
