starting Position

Hello All,

I am finally getting around to laying my floor. I am laying the laminate in a lounge/diner which has an arch joining the two rooms.

I want the floor joints to run parallel through the arch. If I start at a wall (as recommended), and the wall is not perpendicular to the arch wall, the joints will appear slightly out of line as they go through the arch and into the next room.

I was thinking about starting from the centre of the arch and then laying towards the wall. This way I can get the joints looking correct and not running at an angle.

Any comments welcomed.

Thanks

Simon
