Stud wall in a shower

by stiz » Tue Jun 26, 2007 5:06 pm

I am extending my ensuite so I can fit a larger shower tray. This means I will be building a new stud wall which will form one side of the shower. Can I just plasterboard this and tile on top, or should I install some form of vapour barrier between the plasterboard and the tiles?

Hi, you have probably done the job by now, but in case you havn't you should really use aqua panel boards in a wet area.
If you have already put up ordinary plasterboards a good tip would be to give them a flat skim with a good quality waterproof adhesive prior to tiling.
