Suna Light instalation
Hi this is my first post. I am replacing a cieling rose with a suna light but i have two cable coming from the cieling with a red, black and barewire from each. The light switch has one cable with Red, Black and bare i have connected all black in the light to N and all red to L in the switch i have connected red to L1 and black to comon the light worked then it blew the fuse can any one help.
Hi,
why did you not note how original was connected?!!!!!!!!!!! once more 'red-to-red, black-to-black, BL[U]EW-to-BITS!'. At light put both reds into a spare connector not to the light. one black to L, other to N; bare earths sleeve/tape green/yellow and connect to earth of light. the black at switch should be sleeved/taped red as it is a Live switch wire & not a Neutral. if you can tell which black it is at light it should be likewise marked as switched live. See project section at top of page, scroll to replacing a light fitting, all in colour, the reason it blew was when you switched on, it put a short circuit across switch which may have damaged it, be prepared to replace switch. regards.
