Table legs from newel posts

Post by hogwytch » Thu May 31, 2007 7:56 pm

Further to the post of May 11 from Cardiffbloke and the use of newel posts for table legs....thanks for such a brilliant idea...I've been wondering how to make/get legs for a beautiful piece of wood to use as a table - now I know! :D

Question...do I need to stick a frame to the underside of the tabletop and fit the posts/legs in the corners - sticking them to both the table and the frame (on 2 faces) for extra stability?

Cheers!

Be a good idea. Better safe than three legged.
