Terminating live cable

by Hamilton » Thu Oct 11, 2007 2:55 pm

Hi all,

I have replaced a fan, with a timer, with a fan with no timer. The old fan had live, switched live and neutral, the new requires only switched live and neutral.

What is correct method for terminating the no longer required live cable.

Do I need to track it back to source and disconnect, or if this isn't accessible what do I do?

Thanks.

Hi best to disconnect at source, [prob. in light fitting] or use a small term block at fan, regards SPARX
