The end of “DIYâ€

For those of you who don’t keep up-to-date on water issues, there has been a nasty turn off events.

From the 1st of January 2008 you will no longer be able to fix your own leaking taps, replace your ball cocks or do anything at home that’s on mains water.

The reason? The Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS) and the water companies have got together and deicide that you can’t work on anything to do with mains water without passing there test first.

The risk of water back flow is far too high for mere “diyerâ€
