    Themostatic Valves

    Postby billobach181 » Mon Feb 06, 2012 2:38 pm

I have a number of thermostatic valves on my system and on 4 of them the head has come apart. The plastic "toggles" that fit under the knurrled screw fixing them on to the valve body have failed. Presumably the constant opening and closing of the valve has caused a fatigue failure. So can I get replacement Heads? Or can I fit ANY other heads on to the valves? The valves in question are " Lifestyle" and "Caleffi" but I can't find them anywhere.

The head is unique to the particular make of valve. Heads cannot be bought separately even if you could find a supplier. You will very probably have to bite the bullet and replace the whole valve.
