How can I tighten lampshades in a ceiling light?
The tool I had for tightening the shades on the arms of a pendant style ceiling light (G9)has broken. It looks like a small plastic plunger. I cannot find one anywhere. Any ideas?

Back in 1980 I was issued with a Facom electricians tool box, which had the special tool for fitting the retaining rings on shades, never seen one before or since. I still have it but not really a good tool in fact it took us ages to work out what it was for. However when I googled for "facom lamp shade tool" I found a ebay add for "Facom France lampshade ring remover" which went for £11:82 by time postage was included maybe I should put mine on Ebay!
