To LimeWash or not to LimeWash Wall of 1770 Terraced Houses?

by MattyA » Wed Apr 22, 2015 10:47 am

I am currently in the middle of a project to renovate 3 1770 terraced houses into 6 studio flats the decision at the moment is do I Limewash or plaster the walls. I am hearing contrasting info on what's best some say let the walls breathe and lime wash others say plastered walls for a rented house!
The property is built into a hill so the lower ground floor is semi underground and damp could well be an issue.
Any advice would be great.
