Hi, Does anyone know why my toilet cistern starts overflowing into the pan when ever the washing machine is on and how to repair this problem? Cheers.

Sounds as though your cistern overflow shares the same waste pipe as your washing machine...
And you have a blocked waste pipe after the washing machine...
When the machine pumps the water away, it has nowhere to go other than back up the waste.

You need to unblock your waste pipe.!
